Fernando Chico Pardo is a Mexican businessman and investor. In 1997 he founded Promecap, S.A. de C.V., a financial advisory firm, and currently serves as its Chairman and CEO. Chico Pardo served as Co-President of Grupo Casa Saba, the leading logistics and consumer distribution company in Mexico. He is the majority shareholder of Grupo ASUR (Aeroportuario del Sureste), a company that operates nine airports in southeastern Mexico. He is one of the principal shareholders of the US based company Carrix, the largest private port operater in the world. Today Chico Pardo sits on the boards of several leading companies in Mexico and Latin America, including Grupo CARSO, Sanborn’s and Sears Roebuck de Mexico. Chico Pardo has made several successful investments which have earned him the title “Warren Buffett of Mexico”.
