Alpine Capital Advisors is a placement agent and advisory firm that raises assets for global investment managers and growth companies from accredited, qualified and institutional investors. Pinebase.com is a free investor portal that features content on investors, investment news, events, calendars, market news and sentiment, job postings and news visualizations.

Analysts/Engineers will operate within a professional environment involving small and large financial transactions between Limited Partners and General Partners in investment vehicles such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate, Venture Capital and private companies. Interns will be exposed to client meetings, marketing, documentation, investment profiles, deal structuring and negotiation, budgeting, legal and compliance review, and market and competitor analysis regarding these investments. They will be involved in various elements of finance including, investment management, investment banking, operations, legal and compliance, marketing and financial advisory.

Analysts/Engineers will also get exposure to a spectrum of investments via their involvement in researching and updating Pinebase.com which functions as an investor education site. The intern will help monitor, create, edit and publish news and content regarding Alternative Assets, Investor Profiles, Institutional Allocators, market and investor sentiment, events and announcements. Their involvement with the website will combine skills in computer science, finance and journalism.

You must have practical utility in computer science languages including at least one of the following: CSS/PHP/HTML; you will be tested for your proficiency as you will assist in the optimization of our websites. Other languages that are helpful are Python, Django and app development coding. You will also assist with sourcing, due diligence, monitoring and deal management for investment funds and companies across asset classes, regions and geographies. This job will combine aspects of technology, finance, investments and journalism. We are a start-up so as there is for everyone here, expect administrative tasks as well.

We are looking year round for good interns/externs. For applicants with practical utility in front-end and/or back-end computer languages, this internship is paid.

For applicants without computer language proficiency, the internship is stipend and you are required to receive academic credit from your institution.

This is a 1 day program that we usually offer at least once a quarter to two people. They will spend a day with us, attend business meetings and get to know our business. Applicants are limited to 1) Students: College or higher or 2) The Military: including service academy cadets, active service military and Veterans. This a great way for those who are not familiar with our business or finance in general to get some exposure.
